92-96 Impalas don't have Crumple zones, it'* a good thing one of those didn't hit you.

Glad to hear it'* all good at the moment. But like everyone else suggested, keep her under your eye! Any weird issues, or if she has any limp/gimp, etc hound her about it!

"To be always fortunate, and to pass through life with a soul that has never known sorrow, is to be ignorant of one half of nature." -Seneca

Hate to hear about your wife, I know I would've done exactly the same thing in your situation, when coming up on that scene. Probably would have reacted worse, if that'* possible... Get that neck of her'* looked at SOON! Scar tissue starts forming VERY quickly, so time IS of the essence. A chiropractor might help... if you know a good one... And I'll be damned if that Saturn didn't hold up like a champ! Bravo to GM, it could've turned out a LOT worse with a different car... I've heard stories of the Bonnevilles being in big accidents, too, and they hold up very well, too. This one story I read talked about how this woman up in the Great Lakes area hit a damn cow going 45-50, and the Bonnie took it in stride. She had her kid in the back seat, too, on the side that she clipped the cow with (she hit it with the left-front and it swung around and ricocheted off the side of the car, I believe...) and the kid came out of it fine. Wow. Sorry to hear about that again, man. Ya gotta take the good with the bad, I guess. Such is life

How scary is this? My mom got into the same type of accident today!!! She was at a stoplight, and the guys behind her thought the light turned green when it hadn't, and accelerated right into her! It was much at a much lower speed, obviously, but my mom did hurt her neck. She actually went into work after the accident, the trooper that she is, to avoid having to count it as a personal day and going home. I did get kinda pissed at that though :( Crazy, though, as it just happened today. She'* got a new DeVille rental while her Hyundai Sante Fe gets fixed. Well, at least she gets to ride in style for a week or so, she certainly deserves it

Yea, that is a horrible thing that happened. But i am glad to hear that she got out of it with minor injuries. I hope that she recovers quickly and completely. It sure is a good thing that the Saturn held up like it did.

SHO'* aren't that rare of a car. I was looking at getting one before i got my bonnie.
