Why is the top cover bent?
In fact It looks as if the warranty seal (void if removed) is missing too. Has the drive been opened?

not to my knowledge.

it was a former government drive, and they just upgraded to 750GB drives. I picked up two but I really need the money back for one of them.

I don't have them in front of me right now, I will check the other one to see how it looks.

where is the warrenty sticker supposed to be? if it is indeed gone, I just won't sell it and keep it for myself since I know it works fine.

Its usually a peice of tape that goes from the cover to the side body of the drive.

Whats the other one look like?

I wasn't implying any dishonesty on his part. I was considering purchasing it and wondered what the warranty was so I took a closer look at his pics and saw some things not quite right. Notice there is no Serial# that we can see either. After reading where he got them, it is entirely plausible that these may have been opened and the platters wiped.
