IDE to SATA you mean?

you can get a SATA PCI card to hook this drive if your motherboard does not support it

I'd hit that if I wasn't using WD currently... Maxtor and WD NEVER get along.

You can also get "Bridge Boards" which attach to the drives directly

http://www.granitedigital.com/catalo...idgeboards.htm

Of course, if you bridge a SATA drive to an IDE (PATA) connection, you run at the slower speed.....

umm that only works for going from a IDE to SATA... not SATA to IDE.
