I will give that car one thing, I have TOTAL respect for rotary engines; very efficient. It'* not all rice at all, really. I just hate that body style

The awesome thing about the rotorary engine is the lack of moving parts. Because you really only have a circular motion and your power is developed in the rpm... spin that baby fast and it'll keep going.

too bad the engines in those RX-7s arent very reliable, i have heard numrous stories about blown motors and apex seals on them, but i kinda like them. Personally i would do an LSx swap if i had one...

Exactly. They are efficient and small, but extremely unreliable. I've heard of rebuilds as early as 60k miles, hence why they are aren't used more widely by Mazda.

Would never want to use it as a daily driver, but damn, rice or not I'd hit it for sure.

Drove an RX8 while my wife'* Protoge' 5 was in for work, that thing was fun too

Hate Imports... But a Friend of Mine and in My Show Car Club has this one.

He drives it daily, beats the crap out of the drive train, drifts it regularly and makes me look like I'm standing still even under NOS. It has a */C with two speed boost. I wouldnt send it out of my driveway.

They are priced at 5-8 k for the 93-95 RX-7s

And people sell them heavily tunned for 15-20k
