Roads of DOOM!
Man its craptastic out there.
Half my trip to work is through the country and one of the 2 ways into town I'm never ever taking again. Right before entering the start of civilization the road looked like it wasn't plowed all night and was a SINGLE lane road!
Wtf?! Did the county get lazy on us?? The line of cars I was in basically said "BLAH! We're going through punks." So our convoy of 5 went 25mph for this half mile of doom. I mean DOOOOOM!!!!
The snow was 8-10 inches deep and we were locked into some very curvy ruts. Well as we make our slow progression I looked left to see about 3 cars stopped, one in the ditch being "assisted" by the drivers of the other 2. Then I noticed a little Toyota truck (about the same size of a Chevy *-10) coming towards us inching by the cars in front of me. I pondered how on earth he was gonna get by because we were using the center of what road was maybe there...somewhere...under the snow.
He almost made it past me when I saw his right front wheel drop sharply....then the right rear followed in line....then his front wheels pointed left to the sky. He was done. Poor guy was flooring it to get out of it but there was no way in heck I was gonna try stopping.
I hate snow. A lot. Wrecked the 98 in it. I'm moving south the instant a job opportunity shows itself.
