I knew I'd get this, but a whole thread?
Belongs to a bloke named Bobby in Houston.
1989 Toyota Cressida
2.5L Twinturbo I6... 1JZ-GTE, the 0.5L smaller brother of the 2JZ-GTE, the fire breathing monster found in the 1993+ Supra. The donor car in this case was the JDM market Cressida equivalent, the Mark II/Chaser/Cresta.
Running stock boost IIRC
Tein Coilover Suspension
5-speed conversion
259 rear whp... ~300 @ crank, but as per the Japanese automaker'* gentlemen'* agreement, it'* rated at 276hp, lol
The 13.9 was done on the car'* first run after the engine swap, I don't even think the motor was nicely tuned yet, all it had was intake/exhaust. Funny how Bobby'* running the stock front wheel and a Supra rear wheel
Boner stock, this ish runs the head gasket-blowing 7M-GE, same as the NA MKIII Supra, 3.0 I6 rated at 190hp stock. I do reckon the whole swap cost $6k, with maybe about $1500-$2000 for the coilovers alone.
