Default 110oct

Is there a cap on how high of an octane level I should use? 110 sounds kinda fun.

I don't know about your area, but around here, all the 110 racing gas or avgas is leaded. Can't run it.

I think your all wrong. I asked the dealer about it when i brought my 2000 in for the free oil change and they said that from time to time you should put 92 oct in because i burns hotter and cleaner and will help clean the injectors. Other then that he said 87 will run just as fine and i have noticed there is no differents in performance or mileage.

I use 93 octane. When I was going down to Topeka a couple of weeks ago, I had to get gas at this dumpy little place in Iowa. They only had 87octane. I noticed a difference in power when accelerating hard. I also get a smother ride out of 93.

Fortunately for me, my "Orphan" can run on Regular 87 Octane. Just to make me feel like I'm not paying too much for gas today, just how much per gallon is 110 Racing Fuel???

Save yourself some grief and buy a scantool. Hook it up and watch the ping (detonation counter). I gaurantee you're detonating with 87, especially in the summer. That'* seriously bad news. Your dealer is an idiot if he tells you otherwise. It'* not worth destroying your car.
