I hate to be the buzzkill here but why bother spending time and money trying to not get pulled over when it comes down to common sense. A cop isn't going to pull you over if you aren't doing anything wrong, so that'* not what we are avoiding. I drive freeway/highway all the time, and don't get me wrong, I like to drive just as fast as the rest of you, but its a matter of if you don't want to pay for it, then don't do it. If you want to test out the limits of your car, or your nerves, there'* better places to do it then anywhere you have to worry about getting pulled over.

Its the thrill of not getting caught. Sure I could be Suzy goody two shoes too but I've always driven defensively and I have always driven no less than 5 mph over. I've had judges and many cops tell me I can go at least 7 mph over and not get pulled over. It works for me On the rare instance I get pulled over for going slightly more I've been fortunate enough to get away without a ticket. Just this morning I was cruising to work listening to Sammy Hagar'* I can't drive 55 and that is so true!!!

Now I'm not trying to stir up any troubles here, I'm just stating facts as best I can.

Every time the speed limit was raised 5 mph, the number of automobile related fatalities increased. Now while you may be fine and happy with everyone under the sun driving 56 to whatever in a 55, I'm not. Each and every person who speeds around me is intentionally putting me, my wife, and my unborn child at a higher risk of death. Sure, it'* unlikely. Do you think it'* worth it though? You get somewhere 30 seconds quicker? I'm sorry, but I have too much to live for yet, and I can't even begin to imagine what I'd do to a person who was speeding and injured/killed my wife/child....

I have a very good driving record and have not had an accident in over 12 years. This is how I have always driven and the few accidents I've had have not been my fault. I don't drink & drive. That right there is what you should be more concerned with than someone going over the speed limit by a few mph'*. In my business I deal with accidents everyday and the majority of them are for stupidity not speeding.
