Default Question about the '05 L26.

Ok, well my Dad is finally trading in the gas guzzling Durango for something better. He came across a '05 Grand Prix. It has 27k miles, and they are asking I think 14,995. My question is, Did they come with the composite LIM gaskets still? Or did these have the updated Aluminum ones? I know the UIM is aluminum, but what about the gaskets? Let me know! TIA.

No one? We are going to look at it today, and I don't think the dealer will appreciate me pulling the engine cover off. We hope it'* there Feb. 1st, as that is when my Dad gets his tax refund, so he can put a down payment on it and buy it.

They shouldn't have a problem with you pulling the cover off. I say just do it. If they get mad about it, don't buy the car from them. You should be allowed to inspect anything you like(within reason).

I'm going to check out an 04 GTP tonight, I don't think I have to worry about the upper intake, only the lower

I remove the engine covers on NEW cars if it covers too much, you should be fine with used cars
