putting in new wheel stud

Default putting in new wheel stud

do i need to pull the assembly out? i already cut about 5mm off my 41mm stud, and its still not fitting

Looks like you can just loosen the wheel bearing assembly from the knuckle and it will slide right in?

Yeah you have to loosen off the wheel hub enough to clear the stud.
Install the stud at the innermost notch in the knuckle, on the caliper side of the knuckle for easier clearence.

can i use a nut to draw the stud in, or does it have to be pounded?

A nut and washers will work fine.
