so one of our friends is planning to drop his car off at the house for at least all of summer, probably for part of fall too. its a late 80'* Mitsubishi Eclipse [a.k.a. Plymouth Laser, Eagle Talon].

the plan? rebuild the engine, rebuild the transmission, possibly repaint the car, and god only knows what else.

so im attempting to bone up on eclipse-lore. any suggestions for good sources of information for this car?

I don't know much about them except that they can be stupid fast for cheap. My buddy has had about 6 different DSM'* running 13'* easily. This was just when he was in high school and he could easily afford these cars. I'm not a fan of the car, but they are quick!

turbo or n/a?

I didn't even think of NA, just assumed it was turbo. I don't think anybody would mess with a non turbo DSM.

The non-turbos can be made decently quick. And a turbo swap isn't very hard at all. Probably the best place to start is www.dsm.org .
