Default Prime Rib Roast cheaper than a Turkey !!??

I can't believe it.
Went shopping with my wife.....for the first time in a loooog time.....and found out that the best Beef roast actually costs less than a Butterball Turkey.

10 lb Prime Rib Roast - $80.
20 lb Butterball Turkey - $90.

It'* a supply and demand thing.....

We're having the Beef for Christmas dinner this year.

Prim rib =

My father-in-law has been a meat cutter for 35+ years so when it comes to finding the best cuts of meat, he'* got the inside scoop. Rib has been the Christmas tradition since I entered the family.

Enjoy!!!

I have to agree with the prime rib

$90 for a bird?..........I just looked in the freezer and Pmom has a butter ball (6.7Kg) with $32 tag on it. I think she picked it up a month ago?
Theres also a nice ham for $14 in there too.
We usually do both a turkey and ham for christmas, lots of left overs for the following week

Ya we pretty much getted robbed for food in this little town.
$2.99/lb for Turkey is outrageous.
The beef is $10./lb but they give you a discount if you order 10 lbs worth.

I think I know why they are so expensive here in B.C.Canada
Last spring there was a virus that infested birds like turkeys and the authorities killed off thousands of them to control the spread of the infectious disease. So now there are only a few and they are very expensive as you can see. The smaller cheap ones are $45.

90 bucks for a 20LB turkey. All I can say is SHOP SOMEWHERE ELSE.

even if there is any exchange rate.

Meat prices are thru the roof right now for some stuff.
