Pontiac Vibe??
My dad wants to get rid of his Durango... (Killing him on gas and I want him to get a Pontiac
)
So I told him about the Vibe. He looked at the pictures of them and fell in love with it. Anyone have any good or bad reviews on the Vibe? He is going wednesday to drive and most likely buy one.

I think the interior is very cheesy. It'* typical late-model GM quality: very rattly and noisey at highway speeds. I just rode in one last week. It was a 2004 with 65K. It rode like a Ford Aspire.
Its a Toyota so he wont be to the dealer nearly as often for repairs as a GM or Chrysler vehicle.
As for the person that compared the ride etc. to a ford Aspire. :?

friend of mine had one. It wasn't too bad, but i felt that the interior was cheaply done. has a decent ammount of cargo room. We DJ together and we can load all our gear in the back (seats folded down). He wrecked it though... hit at deer at 70mph and totaled the car.
as far as handeling goes, it wasn't too bad, gets a little "vibe" in it once you hit 95+mph...

I test drove one a couple years back with a 6 speed. I went with a friend, and we wore that thing out for half an hour. Pretty peppy, but you have to wind it up to get any power out of it.
BTW - When we got back with it the salesman noticed the rubber caked in the fenderwell and just grinned

Well, my dad didn't like the Vibe. The only manual they had was a base model and was pretty ugly. It was kinda loud on the inside, engine is buzzy. And besides, they financed him a 11% rate and 580 a month for a 16k car! He is going to test drive a Kia Spectra 5 today. He previously had a Kia Optima V6 and loved it.

Yup, and besides, the Kia is a better bang for it'* buck. It has power everything standard and has a 140HP engine over the Vibe'* 122. The Vibe we drove was bone basic. Roll down windows, no keyless entry, no moonroof, hubcaps, hardly ANY storage and was loud.
