Lightyears ahead of the Sunflower/Cavalier... and it'* just a re-grilled and rebadged Cavalier, even the headlights are the same, as far as I know.

This thing ain't real, legitamate "tuner" culture. No, sorry.

Styling-wise...I kinda like it. It reminds me, actually, more of a Toyota Corolla * (which I would have bought, if I could have found one).

i dont personally like it and i dont see how they are in the pursuit of performance with a 145hp 2.2L. i think its funny how they say with all the handling and braking you want.

145hp in the compact car segment isn't bad, others have more, and that spirited handling/weight would come from the light weight advantage (if at all... new models continually get porkier and porkier). Combine that with good steering and brake feel and you've got a recipe for fun -- not necessarily speed. You don't need to be tooling along at 5000rpm or 150km/h just to have fun.

Nope. no relation to the Cavvy. It'* based on one of their "world car" platforms, some kinda Opel thingy. Hopefully it'll eventually get the SCed Ecotec the Cobalt SS has.
Should be a massive improvement over the Cave-in/Sunfart, especially in the area of not having your right front suspension fall off.

But you're right about the looks, the whole "import-tuner" look is a little ridiculous.
Especially the Cobalt, with the ricey, Vette-look bullseyes on the butt.
The pursuit looks a bit better, less poseurish. I hope Pontiac is smart enough to get the SC engine. Could be a nice little car.

Yeah, typo'ed there

The legit/respected import tuner look (IMO) doesn't look anything like the Pursuit
