Plastic plant blew up.

I was sitting in the back yard of a buddy'* house about a mile and a half away in having a brew or two and we saw this happen. We saw the light first and by the time we had turned around we could see the explosion. Power went off for a few hours houses were evacuated and four people died at the plant. The part of the plant the blew up was the part where the make the PVC. Illinoipolis is probably about 15 minutes away from Springfield. A sad day for Central Illinois .

A friend of mine who lives on my floor has a gf who lives in the town where the plant blew up. He was on my cell phone for almost 2 hours trying to find a place for her and her family to stay. All the hotels were booked, but fortunately they finally found one with an opening. It scared the crap out of him. Not literally of course.....
