yah, and to think we get reamed for making a deal to get 4 subs from the Brits for a trade of unused military base property worth 750 million. I wish we had the budget of the Yanks...

I agree, thats alot of money.
Keep in mind that this might get us a better understanding of priciples of time and gravity.... One step closer to Warp factor 9, and transporters!

telorportation here we come, but ya know were in debt sure, but we still thrive somehow so whats it matter, put more money into the things like that an all the other strange an stupid government funded junk

Any number of good space truck options under developement already, should scrap old shuttles, they're WAY beyond intended operational life of lowest-bidder merchandise.
