Default phpBB help needed

i am trying to setup my own forum. i got phpBB installed, and all is well, but when i go to install it, it tells me it cant connect to the database. help is appreciated. even better if you can IM me with help . fire away guys.

I have setup a few forums and still run a few. What you need to figure out is if the server you are hosted on HAS a database that you can use. Then you have to find out what the information is to connect to it, like the database name, location, username password, etc...


Once you have that information entered correctly then you should have no problem. But is cannot connect to a database that is non existent.

what he said. you need a mysql database or a postgres (sp) database with a password and username.
