Default Parts Driver was in a nasty little accident this morning

I dropped off my Bonneville at a shop to get the fuel gage fixed this morning, i go home, dig out the Alero, and head to work
Coming around the last curve for work, it was slick Very icy, Black Ice (we get that all the time), i look off across the road (after i get aroudn the small curve at 45km/h alero was slippling bad) I see a Blue 91 Olds 88, looks like our parts drivers car, i go by slow, sure enough, it is..about 35 seconds from our shop by car. He was in the office with the boss on the phone, pretty shook up, basically, he lost control around that curve, locked em up and nailed the pole dead centre with the front end at around 60km/h.
Its going to be wrote off, the car was towed to our shop and parked around back.
I told him, i bet it still runs, sure does, however, u can tell the front exh manifold is tore off, very loud.
Lucky guy to walk away, thats the main thing.
He said about 5 people behind him just turned to look as he nailed the pole, no one stopped until one of our mechanics was driving by, he whipped in and picked him up and took him to the shop.
It wasnt two weeks ago i changed the spark plugs, wires, and 02 sensor on that car, really good shape 171,000kms only

Yeah it was kinda sad.
considering he is 50 and has never ever had any kind of automotive accident in his life.
I told him the important thing was that he opend the door, and walked away from it.
A car is a car. You can buy another
