Default P0341 code, '98 Skylark

Cam Position Sensor Circuit Range/Performance

Anybody know what this would entail on our '98 Skylark? I'm thinking the cam position sensor might be faulty. I want to call Echo and tackle this one myself, but we need the car healthy so it can pass emissions ASAP. I'm just hoping it won't be a monstrous repair bill....

Yes, I know. But do you think my wife wants a 92-99 Bonnie? Of course not, because "they look like grandma cars." I just want to get her something with a 3800 that is halfway easy to work on.

The car is getting worked on in the morning, so it doesn't really matter. I just thought it would be nice to get some kind of estimate on the parts/labor involved.

Believe me, Fuel, I want her to drive a Bonneville. But she doesn't like the looks of the older ones (which we could afford), and most any 2000+ worth owning costs more than we could spend. So until then, she drives the Lark.
