I'd buy one of these in a heartbeat.

Before my dad passed away, he loved them, we had two of them. . An early 70'* super beetle, and a late 60'* non super beetle.. I don't really know how to tell the two apart other than the vents under the front bumper and behind the rear vent windows..

But either way, This is really really pretty.. i think i'm going to get one some time within the next 15 years and restore it if I can find one that will be a good candidate.

I love Beetles. I've had a '49, '64, and a '66. Never was a fan of the Super Bettles, tho. I prefer the flat windshield. Unfortunately, those that are in decent shape, the folks that own them are pretty proud of them and they are kinda pricey..

Can't you just bring onein from Mexico? They just stopped aking them there a few years ago.

Nope. You can't even get a show-and-display license for a Mexican bug. They can't be registered in the States, not even as a parts vehicle.

My uncle has a '66 in Blue, widened fenders.. He'* got 7" wide camaro rims on it.. (with cheapy wal mart hub caps that kill the look) :(

It'* faded paint, but was one of the most fun vehicles I've ever driven, even if it is slow..
