I am watching "Oprah after the show" and it is about the give away. It is awesome to see the joy on everyones face. What a wonderful thing to have happen to you. If you were lucky enough to bring your husband with you then each of you got one. She said they were fully loaded with leather interior, panoramic sunroof, adjustable pedals, etc.

She must be planning on launching a new line of products, and need the publicity

Honestly, though, it was very cool of her to do that. Go Oprah

Pontiac received 30 minutes of advertising on the Oprah show alone. Not to mention the news and other shows, does ESPN spotlight of this marketing ploy seem like good advertising to you? It does to me. The Pontiac web site has had more than 80 times the normal volume of hits. Dealerships are also having more than normal calls and walk in'* looking for the car.

I bet when it is all said and done this will be the best marketing device that Pontiac/GM has done in years! What a way to launch a new car that no one knows about!!

But then I could be wrong.

95 SLE... You're right on as far as I'm concerned Gotta love Pontiac You'd never see Ford do something like that. Their collective intellects would grind to a halt reading "What??? 276 cars??? They have to be crazy! No way!" Thus, they'd miss the whole point... as I believe a lot of car companies would. You know a lot of them will probably want to try a similar ploy with all their new model lines now. Awesome way to instantly build name recognition And, hell, the audience members are happy; I know I'd be :P Everyone wins, it'* great! Hehe, gotta be a Lutz idea, it'* just gotta be
