Toronto Christmas parade is next weekend....US thanksgiving ususally marks the start of the Christmas season...here it starts after Halloween

my local mall was decked out in christmas decorations on november 1st, thanksgiving doesnt exist anymore it'* christmas part 1, and it'* just a matter fo time before people are dressing up as santa and reindeer and giving out candycanes for halloween, when will the madness end?
