......However my problem is still there and just as bad. Do you think my Appartmen Electric is the problem, it has all the symptoms of a motherboard that is not getting a power good signal. What do you think, if you dont think thats the problem what else should I be replacing? If you think its the appartment electric how to I check this and what can I do about it? Is there a device I can buy to fix this?

However the voltages are better, except the 12v is the same as in the antec.

Probably the best way to find out is to bring it to a friend'* place and try it.

The PSU should generate the proper wattage.... but i could be wrong.

Yeah, it should. Expecially this 480w. My system isn't overclocked or anything, theres no excuse for this. I'm to pissed, I spent 75 bucks for nothing!

I'd bet a hardware problem before bad power. Bad power just doesn't happen any more. It may cut out, but if it'* on, it'* right.

You could just have a lemon board. It may not be working properly to get the proper power distributed.

Is your board warrantied?

OK, UPS is hooked up, its not the house power, power supply or hard drive. Wouldn't a bad board act up during use. The only problems I have is booting up, I get the failed post? Once this damn thing in running it runs great. What should I do next?

Heres my temporary solution to this problem- I am not going to shut this thing down anymore. If it doesn't want to cold boot, then I will just let is run 24/7. Anyone see anything wrong with this till I find the problem?

Does it do it when not plugged into the UPS? I still think the HD may have some problems, other then that, the mobo. Try updating your bios?

I had almost this exact problem a couple of years ago. Turned out to be a bad memory chip. If I could get it up, it was fine. If it got turned off or rebooted, I might get it right up or it might tke all day.
Just a suggestion.

Yes it does it when not plugged into the ups, it does it when the hd isn't connected too. Could the motherboard be able to just have the cold boot problem and not any problems when running? Get this, I just noticed something else. When I turn it on the fans come on, the cd rom blinks, then hard drive light, then thats all the farther it goes until several tried later when it boots. Where does the video card come in, does bios detect video before or after the cdrom. Also if it were the motherboard would I not have problems all the time? Also if it were ram I thought I would get error beeps. My bios has an event log built in too, and nothing ever shows up. Its probably one of those situations where the problem is right under my nose and I dont realize it. If I can find this problem out by the time I get my income tax return, this things getting gutted.


One more note, My ram is OEM Samsung ddr333 from tcwo, has anyone had problems or know of problem related to this brand ram?
