My anti-freeze is 100% water and now it has a brownish tint to it plus my car always overheats.......we'll leave the CEL and rough driving out of this along with its other minor problems cause I think this would be A bigger problem. Its been like this for months!!

Uh, yeah... antifreeze + oil = blown head gasket. I'm no mechanic, but I'm thinking there may not be much life left in your Contour if you've been driving it that way for months.

If your running 100 percent water, might be some rust starting to mix in. You really should run 50/50. Check your dipstick and oil fill cap for any buttery churn type substance. If you have it its probably a head gasket.

That'* a really big problem. Your crank bearings are probably already shot.

100% water? That would explain the overheating. Water'* boiling point is too low to keep the engine cool. Pressure builds up, which adds heat to the engine.

The brown could be rust or oil. What does the oil look like?

All in all, sounds like a continuation of the previous EBSAW problem....

Would oil in 100% water be just a brown tint? I would think it wouldn't mix, even with the extremes of temps.

If it'* a brown tint, it'* rust. If it'* oil, it would be globules of brown or black, or a film on the top of the water, IMO.
