Default Oh, I could get into so much trouble....

After fighting with my system all weekend, I began to wonder what it would take to upgrade my computer (on a budget. I don't need a super computer)

I found this....

http://www.microcenter.com/single_pr...uct_id=0244691

Must

Not

Buy.......

Oooo, not bad except for that Intel chipset.
Microcenter, one of my favorite places to waste money.

It looks to me (IMO) a little much for that package.

I hate mail-ordering my toys, and I don't want a used system.

Not that it matters. That $800 would insulate my attic, which would not get me in trouble with The Missus. As tempting as it is, it will have to remain on my "that'd sure be nice, but I better not" list...

what are you currently running on ?

I'd kind of think if you picked up some of the parts the local PC junkies were tossing to and fro you could put something pretty nice together.

Currently running a 2Ghz Dell, 512MB RAM, and an NVidida 5800, which runs fine. A new primary HD would make it even better.

That'* why, as much as I'd like to upgrade, I won't right now....

Just buy a motherboard/cpu combo from Tigerdirect, and if need be, another stick of memory and you should be all set. No sense in buying a whole new P/*, case, drives etc.
