i got a laptop for christmas and was wondering if theirs any kind of program that i could get to watch all the engine peramiters ? ofcourse would have to get a cord.

you can do so with HP Tuners. the pro version comes with a little box that records info for viewing later or you can run live data

What? 400-500$ just to view live data? Goto scantool.net and you can get one for around $100.

When I had that cheep China OBD/bluetooth adapter it came with a bunch of scanning software that was free. Can't speak for how well the adapter works, but it'* $25. didn't work on my phone never tried the laptop. You can get a bluetooth/USB antenna and do it wireless.
