Hey my sister got a ticket last week for tinted windows.. Although the trooper didnt have a VHT meter will this stand??

Yes, but most likely if she "fixes" they will drop the Ticket

I'm from NY, and the legal limit is 70%, so if someone'* tint is illegal it would be pretty obvious that it was. I really don't know if cops need the meter, but he probably didn't need one if her tint is dark, since the limit is so low.

true i know here they need the meter tho and if they dont have it they dont even stop you.

On the other hand it'* not her truck it'* her husbands She'* going to plead not guilty I guess

On another note i just found out i can't even drive my car in NYS got turned around at customs (illegal Metallic Tint) coincidence ?? lol

The not guilty is not going to work if shes going to say its not her Truck.

Cuz it doesn't matter what car or truck you drive even if its not yours, Its your responsibility to check the vehicle out to make sure its 100% legal

My brother in NY got pulled over a couple months ago, he told the cop he had a couple drinks. He stepped out of the car (I was in the passenger seat). They did the whole sobriety test, but didn't even have a breathalizer.

The tint meter should be a common thing to have too.

In NY Officers are considered experts. They do not require meters to ticket you. They don't even need a radar gun to say you were speeding and with their word as an Expert you will need proof to the contrary to get out of it. Hence the sobriety check and this Tint Ticket.

I believe it. But some shuoldn't be labeled experts. I was pulled over (in Liverpool) for allegedly going 42 in a 30. Then the cop accused me of drinking. I didn't even have a drop of anything and showed no signs of it in my driving. He asked me twice if I had anything. His disbelief led to a sobriety test and a breathalizer that showed 0.0, yet he said "I still smell alcohol....I smell vodka and orange juice."

Yeah, Liverpool cops can be arses. The screwdriver was probably his.

Samething happened to me in Cicero a few years ago, said I was doing 52 in a 35. Orange Handsoap and How'd ya get 52 without a radar gun I said.... I didn't get out of that one either. LOL Solvay cops are proably the worste in this area.

i would have brought a suit against him, cause thats harassment plain and simple, Same problem we have here with American Customs I have been pulled in several times the last time i had my Laptop,Camera and 3 external HDD'* i was accused of having child ****. they played around with my laptop and messed it up something bad took almost 6 hours to make it right.

They get real pissed off when i lok at my watch and say ummm its almost an hour so send me back or let me go... Law says you can only have me here for 1 hour . lol
