Default New Phone

Gangsters...I got a new phone today, yay me!

I've been with Telus (my wireless provider) for 3 years, and they offered me a new phone, $150+ value as long as I agree to a 3 year term, fine, I'm pleased with the service, so I said hey..why not.

I also redid my contract, ended up saving $15 dollars a month!...so overall new handset, and a cheaper plan, sounds win win.

Heres the thing, I never got the chance to research my new handset, maybe you can provide insight. Its a Motorola V265 with 4x camera and speakerphone (a must for me). Its pretty sexy, not to small that my clumsy digits will manhandle and break the poor thing, but its slim and easy to use. I like the metallic black and silver with blue backlit keys. Kinda suck its not a Samsung (always had a Samsung) but oh well.

Anyone ever have/had this phone? Feedback?

Kenn, ya I took a picture today, of a statue on my bar....came out pretty nice. In true JimW form, the wallpaper image is a martini, taken from a cool angle...I'm pleased, cant argue with free (and cheaper plans!)

Nice new phone and good deal too! Can't beat it, like you say.

In 2004, I did the same basic thing. Modernized my 2 old plans (wife and I), got two new and better phones and saved $90/month. Before that, I had a real old, dinosaur plan that I had let renew too many times.

You have to love competition!!

Jimbo...I have that exact same phone. Right here on my hip.

I haven't had any issues with it. It gets great reception without pulling out the retractable antenna. In fact, I've never pulled it out once.

I've never used the camera function (unnecessary feature IMO). The one thing I don't like about it is the face. It scratches very easily. I'm not hard on it at all, and being an office dweller, it doesn't see much abuse. You'd never think so just by looking at it. Pretty well scratched after only 4 months of having it.

Oh ya, I know what martini clipart you're talking about....it came with my phone too. I like the beach wallpaper personally!

Cool..someone with the same phone. Mark I was worried about that very same thing...scratches on the lid. Does it come with an available leather case?

My favour pics are Fusion and Martini....but ya, the beach one is pretty sweet.

Mine didn't come with the leather case. I think that was another $20. I opted for the standard belt holster.

The leather case would protect it, but it'* been my experiences with other phones that it often gets in the way of the speaker, making it hard to hear the other person.

Fusion would fit you well.... I currently have mine set to Radiance.
