(sorry ahead of time if this is a double post)

What'* with the new Pontiac naming system? G5? G6? Now G8? WTF!?!?! What happened to the great names of our fathers Pontiacs? Bonneville, for one, was one of the oldest names in Pontiac history, and what did they do? Nix it. For "G8". horrible. So, my question for you, what is the meaning of the letter G? And don't say "Grand", because I don't believe that fits the G5 very well...

I think they are just trying to make their cars more like the foreign carmakers, a lot of which use only numbers and letters instead of names.

I personally dont like it, I like associating a name with a car, instead of a number.

"G_" doesn't roll off the tongue like "Bonneville" . I agree that the new system is far from original or interesting.

i hate it.

I haven't seen anything lately that has really excited me.......

Let'* just call them Vanilla,Chocolate,Strawberry........ETC. :?

the letters and numbers are simplistic, if its a higher number its a better model.
but it takes away the character of the model

Next Ford will will start there new Naming system..... They will call there Car... POS4, POS6, POS8....

And the trucks SD-POS150.....
