Those ultrasonic lenses are NICE. I have one for my camera, they silently and almost instantly focus...

Damn you! I wanted one of those, but settled for a Pentax about 4 years ago.

Funny story about that.. i had a Pentax ZX-M that was stolen at a resort in Rhode Island. Instead of us going through police and things like that they paid me $800 as a settlement. Enough to splurge for the camera that i LOVE because its is AWESOME and AMAZING.

Yea, they are well worth it. Although I don't mind loud zooms. I just want it to focus fast. The Tamron actually focuses decently quick and it'* always accurate.

The 50mm should have an "L" on it. It'* an amazing lens. The optics are out of this world.
