Default Needing a car (in western Ohio)

Just wondering if there are any Ohioans out there with a cheap car that I could buy for my wife. I am in Oregon and she will be returning to the area of Lima, Ohio on sept 12 to finish school. She is only here in Oregon for the summer.

Our daughter ruined her transmission in the 92 accord she had. I can not return to Ohio to find her a car, and I don't want her to get screwed into a car that will break down a lot.

So, just wondering if anyone is in that area that has a cheap car they can sell. She will only need it for 6 months. Just asking here because I know I won't get referred to a bad deal.

My only other option is to rely on her finding one on her own.

Appreciate your help.

I'll look around the Lima area and see if I find anything.

Where is she going to school in Lima?

She is going to Rhodes Stae for her RN in nursing. She has 2 quarters of clinicals left and no school out here will accept her credits for the clinical portion. On top of that there is a long waiting list.

We are really looking for something good on gas and cheap, but running. It really only has to get her through 6 months, and after that we would get rid of it.

Thanks for any help.

hrm... just sold my 5 spd eclipse for $800. I tend to find decent cars here in rochester and could probably find a way to get one to Ohio if you like it. I'll look around and let you know.

Sure, check it out and maybe a pic or two. Although I just need to make sure it will run for atleast 6 months. I really appreciate the help.

Thanks
