You wont see another Pontiac on a Nascar track done finished over.. And thats not Nascar that decided that.. The money wasnt there GM pulled the plug.
An announcement will be coming soon on JGR/Toyota.
The interesting part of the deal will be Tony Stewart. It'* confirmed his contract states Chevrolet. Which means they'll have to give him an option.
Or he'* gone.

Yeah, I had heard about the Stewart thing.
Not sure how that'll play out, but I am sure that has been addressed.
My guess is this wouldn't even be considered unless they have already have something figured out.

Q:First before I start to type let me ask... Who plays the Media like no other..
A: Tony Stewart.
He confirmed that Chevrolet is in his contract. As of right now. but trust me Tony is the same as any other driver on the circuit he does as he is told and follows the money. He will not weasel out of his contract with JGR when the switch is announced to Toyota. And as a driver he is under contract not with the brand but a race team. and it is up to JGR what Tony drives not Tony.
Tony is being Tony he is playing the Media.. Like 2 weeks before a announcement was made by Dale Earnhardt Jr Tony knew what was happening he played like it was nothing. Tony is a contracted driver for a cup team that runs Chevrolet and He also owns a sprint team running Mopars... hmmmm

You do not make a press conference type announcement if you have nothing to say. Also this isn't usually done when you are staying with the current manufacturer..
You're mistaken. Tony'* contract with Chevrolet in the JGR contract isn't uncommon. Many drivers have this clause.
If it is indeed in his contract, he will have the option to get out of his contract if he chooses.
Jeff Gordon and Dale Earnhardt both have Chevrolet in their contracts, as do some Rousch drivers (Ford).

Didn't know that the Car Manufacturer was included in a driver'* contract. Interesting.
Like I said I am sure this has all been worked out though, or they wouldn't be saying anything.

Tony will not leave JGR... thats like saying Jeff Gordon is going to drive for Petty.. Won't happen Tony will be happy driving what ever his seat is in as long as it is competitive.

Kyle Busch confirmed that he has been told that Joe Gibbs Racing will race Toyotas next season. Busch said he is comfortable with the switch, which is expected to be announced next week by the team. Mark Cronquist, the team'* head engine builder, is expected to spearhead the work on the engine.

mmm...interesting.
Figured it would happen, or the talks would have been denied.
Just wondering how much $ is involved. Would have to be A LOT I would think.
