My younger brother seems to think that his 98 Taurus SHO can't beat anything on the road. Now, mind you...he'* only ever raced wussy v6 Mustangs and car'* he knows without a doubt that he can beat. Such as corolla'* and cavaliers.
I laugh at him every time he says that under the hood of his car lays a Mustang V8. Ford SHO'* have a 3.4 liter V-8 and very weak tranny'*. I work for Ford and have seen many in my service department. BUt none the less it is a V8. Would I have any type of challenge on my hands racing him?? My Bonnie isn't modded. What do ya'll think?
I also own an 88 Iroc with a 5.0 and a 5 speed. And yes it'* very modded. He thinks he can beat that and his car is bone stock. Ha Ha!

It would be close. Those SHO'* can run a sub 8 from 0-60. Your stock 92 SSEi runs the mid 8'* I think, then more if you need a tune up. Only way to prove it for sure is to take it to a track, where everything is equal. Get a smaller pulley and for sure you would smoke him, unless his SHO is modded up.
If you still have your TGP that should take him!
I would put a smaller pulley and CAI on your SSEi and it should beat him without too much trouble assuming that you launch good and don't have like 500lbs worth of stuff in the car.
IIRC the V8 SHO'* are slower than the V6'*, and as long as he hasn't done anything to it, they aren't that quick.
