I notice that the one in your picture still has the turbo-jets, instead of the newer turbo-fans. Are all the Rivet Joints like that?
Also, is the bulge under the tale for instrumentation, or just a fairing for the left-over boom hardware?

The RC-135 is a SigInt aircraft. All the bumps and miniwings, and pointy thinies are antennae. For more details, check out this pic (too big to politely post here)

OK, that pic answers my first question completely, and my second question partially.
The one in your first post has the turbo-jets, the one in the link has turbo-fans.
That leaves the tail-bump. It obviously is mostly left-over sheet-metal from the boom, but it doesn't tell me whether they took advantage of it to house sensors, or if it'* just something they couldn't smooth out.

I don't have any idea, as far as the engines or the bubble-butt....

Everything I know is through Google at this point. However, I seriously doubt they would millions of dollars of SigInt hardware into a converted KC-135 Tanker. My guess is that it'* a bump of its own breed back there

My type R reference wasn't directed at Hondas. I have no idea what Type R means, except that most cars I see it on are, shall we say, have a lot of plastic on 'em and sound like lawnmowers....
Yeah, they're what I like to call wanna-be'*.

Type R was the best model of car for the various models, such as Civic, Integra, NSX, etc... I believe in the states we have only received the Integra Type R, don't quote me on that though... but lets say, the different between an Integra LS and Integra Type R... Type R has better suspension, wheels, Vtec (about 200 hp compared to the LS'* 140), faster gears, better seats, interior, etc etc etc... so a lot of people like to throw eBay Type R badges to make themselves feel better I guess. I used to have one of those window marker things taht would come off with a good scrubbing and write "RICER" on the back windows of those cars haha. Just to tick 'em off a little :P

For the record I've owned two Honda'* and only one had stickers... and it was two on the back windows for a forum I was apart of. No other stickers, not even in the engine bay.
