Has identical specs to my ZT Systems notebook. I had to OC that video card to get good performance out of it, as it only uses DDR RAM.

On the subject of RAM I have 3 gigs and use 30% of that just running Vista, and for example when I Crtl-Alt-Delete out of NFS: Most Wanted when I get busted, I am using 50% of it or better. So having just 2 gigs would be pushing it with some of the newer games.

Ive been happy with the performance of my machine, cost me just a little over 900 dollars, and I have had surprisingly good customer service via email, they answer any questions I have with 24-48 hours.

The only issues Ive had with this machine have all been related to Vista, Im not fond of this system at all, I consider installing my bootleg copy of XP Pro quite often, but I like having a legit version for updates and such. Ive had to use System Restore more times in the month or so Ive had this thing than I did in 3-4 years of XP based machines.

I think the video card has some good capabilities, Im not sure how much you can OC it though, laptop cooling makes me nervous, Ive got it at 600/430 right now, stable. Stock speeds are 500/400.

i used to have my 7900GS overvolted and overclocked to GTX+ speeds... kept the fans on high and never had any real high temps. Now i have it back to stock speeds, but you can get away with more than you think

With regards to Vista'* memory usage, it'* memory that'* somewhat "set aside" for normal tasks if you will. You'll notice that when doing a few things the physical memory usage doesn't do a damnned thing.

Gaming, yes it can help. Over 3.5 gigs? Can never hurt (if you have 64 bit OS...)

Hoov, you running 64bit or 32?
