Please do NOT consider the GLH. That Turbo is gonna go sooner than later and that alone will cost you $$$$'* to replace. The Rust is another big factor to stay away.

Where is that OMNI it'* a GLH and not a Shelby right ?

Mr. ReallyAGXP, you can have it, I'm going with the Ei. I just needed someone to talk me out of the Omni. I guess it was a really simple choice, but I thought people might have had different ideas. Welp, I'll call the guy tomorrow to tell him I'm taking it. Thanks guys!

Guys, the problems that that GLH has are all fixable, even the floor. In fact the floor isn't even that big an issue. The interior is eay to remove, then a little work with a cutter at the JY to get patches, and a little welding to install them, a quick coat of primer to protect the welds, a cheap paint job to fix the flaky paint, check all the hoses, a compression test to check head gaskets and rings, and it'* good to go. Parts are ultra cheap, as I can find ten of those motors at the local pick-n-pull any day of the week, and body stuff is pretty cheap, too. The turbo is cake, because it would be the first thing I'd replace just on GP.

PS: Peter called me when he was looking at this car to ask me a few questions, and I referred him to www.turbododge.com, and also my Brother offered to come take a look at it and check on the common problem areas.
These little carsare actually pretty reliable when properly maintained, and modding them is dirt cheap, dirt simple, and extremely effective. The suspesions are as good as any current sport-compact(better than most), and it'* ungodly fast.

i came so close to picking up an omni before i grabbed the sabre. the only reason i did was i need a daily driver first.

Hey Gonneville...were you and Petraman sniffing something on the way back from NEBF or WHAT? Neither of you two should be considering such a small bucket of rust as the ...what was it.... an '85 Omni GLH Turbo. I mean really now.... despite the troubles you will have from a car that is not driven... safety should be a huge consideration not to mention the comfort factor....
