Go for it, BUT, get the education and training up front. Not much G-code anymore. It'* cad/cam now.

Once you get the training, if something would change, you have the skills to go somewhere else with leverage for more income.

KNow someone who had almost exactly same deal. Situation changed after owner died and brother took over.

Plus, the programming can be done at home.
