I've used the "humane" traps before with success. Its a little box with a trap door that you stick food in. Mouse walks in smelling the food, engages the trap door and hes stuck. Tossed him in a field the next day.

Otherwise, neckbreakers galore loaded up with stinky food works wonders...

Four traps and only one was set off with nothing trapped. :(

I found another bag of grain with chew holes in it.
