I've done 105 hours before.

132 hours in six days left 12 hours for eating and sleeping and breaks...

I can see where Chinski is coming from.

When I first started as a young single Engineer on salary and we got into 24 hr machine shutdowns, I would work straight thru putting in 32 hours at a time, then sleep for 6 hours.

I'm older and wiser now.

You have to think of your own safety, and most, if not all companies have to respect that.

Now when we get into a week long machine shut, I start at 5:am and work till 10:pm for 6 days, so max is 102 hrs a week.

I've been putting 50 hrs consistantly the past month. Average is 40. I dont like to work more then that.

Work to live, dont live to work.

Life is to short.

Well before when I HAD to work two jobs, I worked anywhere from 65 hours a week when I had one job, to at least 80 working two, making crap for pay. That didn't include freelance work. I make about twice as much working only 40 hours a week now. 9-to-5 rules!

You need to get a Government job to work regular 8-4 or 9-5 hours.

The 10 hour day is the norm for most of us in Industrial Salary positions, and we are so busy the time goes quickly so it doesn't matter.
I have a notebook next to my bed for when I wake up at 2:am and have to jot down an action item for the following day.

I've pulled several all-nighters in school working to complete a race car... it'* a scene right out of Overhaulin'

Probably puts me at 40 hours, that week.

Don't forget to add full-time school studies on TOP of that. TWO weeks before finals.
