While not wanting to jump into the pee feast about which car is faster.

I would like to reinforce the torque management comment. With traction control off... an S2 SC will not spin much due to a stock pcm and the torque management that is built in.

Very effective programming.

FWI around these parts a SS Supercharged is going for http://www.autotrader.com/fyc/vdp.js...ng=&cardist=49
If this and the Bonne were sitting side by side with the same miles....it would be a hard choice.

That price seems inflated to heck. Anyway current cars are more about putting that power to the ground and not just spinning still. Your car is a 93 therefore you get that nice melting the tires effect. I am sure that SS with 260 hp is indeed quicker than your car even though you car is NOT slow by any means.

Same goes for my GXP. Feels alot slower than it is but all in all its just as quick as the rest. My 96 Aurora feels so much quicker than my GXP...really...but I know its not.

Take an 06 for a test drive. That V8 will do a real nice burnout just turn off the traction control. You can usually get a lower interest rate on a new vs used car. The new one could actually have a lower payment.

So Matt, the MC SS was slower than your SSEi? I though it would be faster being S2 and probably a degree lighter.

I also think it is a nicer looking car.

And as far as paying for a new car, we learned that when looking for a used car, you are usually not going to be able to get a loan for what the car is selling for, but a new car, you are almost guarunteed to get sale price. We learned this when my dad was looking at a new car. Used car dealer even told us so.
