Default Microsoft Word help

So, I am working from home today since the wife is sick. (Someone needs to watch the kids)
Anyway, I was attempting to draft some documents that I could email myself and print up at work tomorrow.
Well, of course we have Word at work, so I want to do my work in word.
Apparently, I only had a free trial and it is now expired. I only have Microsoft Works Word Processor.
So, I need some way to work in Works but be able to open it and print it with Word.
Anyone have any ideas of what I can do to make this happen?

If you have room, install Open Office (www.openoffice.org) It will save in word format

Got it. Thanks Mos, if you wouldn't have said something I probably wouldn't have bothered trying again.
Out of curiosity, any one know how much Word costs?
I have (had) Word 2003 Standard Edition.
I know you can buy a product key from them, but how much is it? I would like to have it since I got my Word Cert. when I was in school.
