Here in Tucson, its 55 degrees. Mt Lemmon which is a 9100ft mountain here in Tucson, woke up to a white Christmas. Damn them!! Certainly does not feel like Christmas here in town. My yard is greener than the Grinch.
Very nice! We are dealing with similar weather here, but also endured some fog this morning. I am currently in the process of ripping a delapitated deck/porch of the back of my house, weather is Perfect!
Nice work on the lawn! Do you plan to seed other grass in with it for the summer? Our summers are pretty brutal on Rye, especially when the heat cranks up in June. My landscaper friend likes to seed both Bermuda and Rye. The Rye hangs better at the beginning/end of season, then the Bermuda takes over in the heat.
Thank you!
I read an article specifically written for the Tucson environement. Grow Rye during the winter and Bermuda in the summer. Problem is, you have to dig up the Rye in order for the Bermuda to grow correctly. Downside to leaving Bermuda in all year is, it turns brown when dormant in the winter. I think I will just plant Bermuda this summer and leave it.
Yes Merry Christmas to All !
Here it has been rain for 10 days, but the mountains also have snow.
My grass is so squishy, it is close to mud like. So much for a white Christmas here anyways.
Now I am going back to help in the kitchen, and have a few more drinks!
Ho Ho Ho..Christmas is a wonderful time of the year!
Merry Christmas all, it was 60 degrees here, so the ice in shadow was extra slippery. The rest is dry or mud here and there. Supposed to have some snow later in the week. Tomorrow we have a couple of appointments and get to play in December 26 traffic. Woohoo!
