That hit was a hell of a lot harder than the one that killed Dale...the COT has just laid to rest ANY questions. I just stopped caring about the wing.

That is the worst hit I've seen since Geoff Bodine ate the fence in that fireball a few years back in the truck series...

Wowie! What a hit. And he walked out perfectly fine. That car was obliterated, but see how completely in tact the cab is. Proves the COT platform and the safer barriers are doing their job, and well.

I've seen worse wrecks (you should see the one that car'* OWNER suffered at Bristol a few years ago, I have it on DVD), but never in QUALIFYING.

It was a rookie mistake, this is only his second cup race (tomorrow). Over corrected when he got loose.

As up-beat as he was (I watched it live), he'* sore as hell. I gaurantee it.

Here'* the other one. Waltrip (michael) owns the 00 that wrecked yesterday.

He hit the end of the barricade to an open gate that should have been closed. There are no gates like that at any track now.

IIRC, that gate actually was shut. He hit hard enough to spring the gate open and caught the body just behind the front fender and ripped the safety cage in half....
