I think what made this more suspicious than normal, was the location in which these devices were placed. On highway Pillars, and bridges and such.

You know how it goes, someone wants to be the hero so they call 911 to report a suspicious looking device and then you have the news media all over it and it becomes a wide spread circus.

I agree that the men who placed the devices should be let go, but if anything, make the broadcasting company pay.

the news was very shady about how they described the location, if you actually looked, at where they were, they were all in VERY open view, the highway pillars and bridges are over other busy roadways in Boston

it wasnt like they were out 200ft above the city out of easy sight on the zakim bridge or anything where a bomb would be placed
