Lounge For casual talk about things unrelated to General Motors. In other words, off-topic stuff. And anything else that does not fit Section Description.

Love my SSEi, and infatuated with a 2001 540i...help!

I've driven a few BMW'* and I would choose that over the Bonneville in all honestly. I can't believe how well they drive all around.. then again I have never driven a GXP. I just like BMW'*.

If your price range is around 40k you should check out the Audi '*port' cars. The S4 and S8 are godly..

Noone has mentioned them yet, but my StepSon just bought a used Infiniti. SuWeet car for a foreign jobby!! All the bells and whistles, tons og GttyUpGo, and the staff at Infiniti even treated a schlub like me as if I were royalty. I was just the cabby, but I still got coffee (in a real cup, not styrofoam), a pen, and a nice seat in front of the big screen TV.

Nice car and great people to help you with it, what more could you ask for (except a 96-99 Bonne)

Default Leaning towards the bmw

I considered the lexi, starting with the ES330. The best thing about that car is the leather...oh man it is the best I have laid my fingers on. The rest of the car doesn't thrill me. The console is too wide on the drivers side and my right leg bangs into it.

I used to like the GS models but the profile looks too much like a passat or audi or altima...I don't care for it. And I get the sense that they are not as sporty to drive as the 5-series. If I were leaning toward luxury I'd go full boat with the LS430.

As far as the GXP, I think I'm going to pass on it. Nice try by GM, it'* a VERY cool car. But my SSEi still has a lot of life in it. I'll wait until the next generation.

The ES330 is just a gussied up Camry with some extra hp... right down to the chassis. Still, however, it'* good schtuff for those wanting luxury.
