Wow, that isn't bad at all.... Do you know if it was SATA 150 or SATA 3.0?

not really sure about that one... honestly, i wouldn't know how to check either (didn't know there was a difference... ) is there a way to check other than looking at the physical drive out of the computer?

Right, but I have a SATA 150 chip. Can I run a SATA II drive on a SATA 150 chip?

SATA at 150 MB/* is way past any hard drive'* transfer rate. With 4 drives in RAID 5, I got a peak transfer rate of 260MB/*. Also, I have a 120GB Seagate to sell you. I'll let you know the SN, MN, and whatever else so you can check the remaining warranty on it.

Yes sata 3 is backwards compatable with 1.5 thou you may need to change a jumper setting.

Good lord, I hope not.
Modern hardrives can get ~100MB/* individually.
Thou 260MB/* for a four drive raid 5 is pretty dang good!
