ok Halloween is just around the corner. Time for good horror movies and candy and best of all, ghost stories. Has anyone had a real life ghost encounter? Anyone have any true horrifying stories to tell? Please share your stories. Lets see if anyone can cause me some nightmares! Everyone join in and tell your stories and have some fun.

I have a real life haunting to share. 2 years ago I lived in an old house with my fiances family. This house wierded me out from day 1. When we would go to bed at night we would hear foot steps in the attic and lights would get turned on on the first floor. One time my fiances brother came running up stairs and told us while he was downstairs to use the restroom he saw someone in the mirror when he was the only one down there. I once took a picture ( I still have it somewhere) of my girl when she was pregnant witrh my son and when we got them developed there was a white outline of someone standing next to her. We couldn't tell if it was a man or woman. When Me and my girl where getting ready to move. I think it was 1 week before we moved she was packing up boxes in the small room that had the stairs to the attic. The door was closed so she couldn't see up to the attic. She told me while sitting on the floor packing things up she heard someone coming down the attic steps. She tool off running and didn't go back in there until she had someone to go in with her. Also she was the only one home that day. I was working and the rest of her family went away. That was all really that happened while we all lived there. My fiances family moved out to a new house when we moved into our appartment. Her dad got a call from the landlord at the old house asking if he was going into the house cause some things are happening to the new tenants. Apparently the new tenants will go up stairs to sleep and come back down to go to the bathroom or whatever and when the get down they are finding lights on and both the front and back doors open. This is true story. Her brother when to school with the tenant before us and she told him how scary that house is . I am so glad to be out of there!!

It wasn't "horrifying", but it did kinda spook me.

This happened quite a few years ago. I think I was a sophomore in high school. The first Christmas after my grandmother passed away, we still got together at my grandparents house. Usually Grandma and Grandpa sat in their favorite chairs while all the presents got passed out. Typically, the youngest and the oldest got the most, so my grandparents usually got presents piled around them.

Grandpa was still around and getting his usual haul...mostly booze and cigars. Since Grandma was gone, and noone chose to sit in her chair, some of Grandpa'* presents got put there to clear the floor. One of my aunts took a picture of him as he opened his presents (typical holiday photo stuff). When she got the pic'* back from the drug store later in the week, you could plainly see a blurred area in Grandma'* chair. It was as though someone or something was getting up from a sitting position. My aunt reminded us how Grandma never really liked to get her picture taken.

Perhaps, she wanted to be with us one more time for the holidays.

There was a story my grandmother told me once. This isn't so much a scary story as a freaky one. This happened before I was born. My aunts fiance was killed training fire fighters. He fell off a tower and fell to his death. My Aunt watched it all happen. On the same day one of my grandmothers dining room windows shattered. No one was around it. My dad and my uncle were the only ones home and they swore they weren't anywhere near it. The thing that freaked her out and freaked me out when she told me the story is that the window shattered at about the same time my aunts fiance hit the ground and died. My grandmother is a very truthful woman.

Another experience I had was with my friend Bo at the mountwood road cemetery in wheeling wv. We went up there at night just for the hell of it one night and got the **** scared out of us. When we first arrived we felt very wierd, like someone was staring at us. We were the only idiots dumb enough to be in a cemetery after midnight so I am pretty sure we were alone. It was a cold night too. November I think. Anyways the first strange thing was when we walked on the grass it felt as if we were walking on bones or something. the ground seemed to have a rocky texture. The second thing was when I touched the door of one of the mauseliums. It was slightly warm and made the hairs on my arm stand strait up. We kept hearing footsteps the whole hours we were there. Just the way this cemetery is set up is scary, very old and run down, also very large. After about 45 minutes there we really felt like something wierd was going on. My friend pointed out to me what looked to me like a man in a white suite. The moon was bright and reflecting off the tomb stones so I figures this is what we were seeing. Then about 5 minutes later the thing seemed to glide, as if floating, about 5 feet closer. At this point me and be hauled *** out of there. We returned the next day to find that the ground was soft, and that mauselium was cold. It was at this point we agreed not to mess in cemeterys at night anymore, expecially at this one. Freaked me out. NO one believes up either.

Yeah, but no one wants to hear that boring stuff. I have had alot of strange stuff happen over the year so I have good storied to tell

My little half brother get visited by his dead grandfather. My mom has heard him laughing like crazy and she will go in and he says pappy is tickling him. Mom says that my brother actually moves as a person would if he was actually being tickled. Its freaky man. He says his pap visits him and he talks to him. This is one of the reasons I dont stay at my moms when I go back home. There was another time that I was at my moms when a so called visit happened. We were up watchin a movie when we heard a cabnet door close and a chair scoot in the kitchen. There was no one in the kitchen. Very strange.
