Wait!!! Why would someone remove the 250 hp Dohc engine and put in a 240 hp ohv engine? Is the new engine modded? just confused

Because the 250hp DOHC engine stays at around 250....lack of aftermarket.

The 240hp OHV engine.....sky and pocketbook are the limit.

And it only has 260 lb ft of torque

eh, the L47 has plenty of torque all over the powerband, but the PCM has its severely in check. The reason its happening is solely because of the aftermarket.

Ahh, well, when I drove an Aurora (2001) it felt like it was kinda lacking in the low end, that'* why I brought it up

This is true, DOHC'* don't deliver the same kind of low end torque that the pushrod does. However, whenever you want torque its there, even at 5000 RPM. Nothing would thrill me more greatly then a custom PCM, and an LSD trans.

This is why the experiment of an L67 into an Aurora is happening....aftermarket 3800 performance in the stability and luxe of an Aurora.

Its win win.

I don't know if he is using a Riviera engine, or another L67, but the mounts for the L67 in the Rivi are different then the mounts for the L47 in the Aurora. I'm sure the PCM/wiring that goes into this modified Aurora will be custom (ie INTENSE, DHP).

i know the mounts between L67 and L47 are different.

but what i meant was, can the rivi mounts bolt up to the L67 then bolt to the aurora frame?
