Default key jammed.. locksmith help

I made the mistake of using the manual key to my Fiesta, and now it won’t come out. Should I call a locksmith?

it may be a good idea to review the owners manual to ensure there is not a safety mechanism in place that is working as designed. Many manufacturers have a button that releases the key, or only releases it after certain criteria are met.

What year is your Fiesta? Try turning the steering wheel as hard as you can one way while trying to remove the key, than as hard as you can the other way. As was suggested, look for a mechanism that has to be tripped to remove the key. I don't think you are at the locksmith stage yet.
