Default Jammed tape in factory HU

So I try out my tape deck today, first time since I bought the car in may. Played great but when I turned the car off it made this horrible whirring and clicking noise and won't eject. I turned the power back on hit a couple of buttons to no avail. The HU shows a tape icon on the display but doesn't want to switch over to it now. Is there anyway to get the tape out without disassembing the dash and then the HU itself? Any emergency release like most cd players have?

Thanks in advance
